Each week we will post some of the submissions we receive and you can see what your competition is up to!

Important Notes:

Every Monday you tasks for the week will be released on this web page.  The web page will update on Mondays at 10am AT / 9am ET / 7am MT / 6am PT and will include all of the information you need to know including how to submit your tasks.

The tasks have a 7 day timeline to complete and will involve some mental, nutritional and physical components.  Most tasks must be completed by both team members with the exception of Road Blocks.  Team standings are determined by the submission of these tasks so completing them as fast as possible is important.  The final 2 teams to submit their main challenge will be eliminated.

Main Challenge

Each week your team will be provided with a map and two points marked on it.  Your team must determine where these points are and the distance between the two.  Using website such as Google Maps, locate the landmarks and determine the distance between them.   This is the distance your team needs to travel during that leg of the race.

To complete this challenge, both member of your team must travel that distance in the 7 days allowed for the task completion.

Main Challenge Rules

The distance covered MUST be completed on foot.  Treadmill use is allowed.  Bikes, ellipticals, rowing, etc., are not permitted.  You must start at one point and visit each location indicated on the map.  The distance must be covered from dedicated walks/runs that are minimum for 10 minutes or 1 Km in length and cannot include the distance you cover during your daily life (IE – daily steps captured by your wearable, etc.).

Main Task Submission Guidelines

You will use the Main Challenge Submission Form located at the bottom of this page to submit your completion of this task.  Submission MUST include the following:

   – Screenshot of the route you mapped stating the distance your team will complete.

   – Screenshots from Strava/app of your choice and/or pictures or treadmill screen for both team mates proving that both teammates covered the mapped distance.

Detours

As with every good road trip, you will experience some detours along your route.  Each week all teams must complete 1 of the detour challenges offered.  Typically these challenges include 1 nutrition based and 1 mindfulness based challenge.  The choice of which challenge is completed is up to your team.  The same challenges must be completed by both team members.

Detour Submission Guidelines

You will use the Detour Challenge Submission Form located at the bottom of this page to submit your completion of this task.  Submission MUST include the following:

  • Any required proof / photos as outlined in the challenge details for the week

Road Blocks

Sometimes you encounter road blocks during amazing trips!  All teams must complete a road block challenge each week.  Road blocks will always be physical in nature but not impossible!  Only 1 team member is required to complete a Road Block challenge.

Roadblock Submission Guidelines

You will use the Roadblock Challenge Submission Form located at the bottom of this page to submit your completion of this task.  Submission MUST include the following:

  • Any required proof / photos as outlined in the challenge details for the week

Earn an Extra Ballot

You may earn these ballots throughout the race but will only receive the ballots once your team completes the race in Halifax. The more ballots your team has at the end of the race, the higher chance of winning.

Extra ballots will be awarded for the following items:
– First 10 teams to complete all tasks of each leg
– The best submission of each roadblock of each leg
– The best submission of each detour of each leg
– The overall best effort

Submission Deadline:

All submissions are due by Sunday at 10:00 pm local time in order to earn your ballots for that leg of the race.

Challenges

A new envelope will be released every Monday.

Remember to use the submission form found in your current envelope to submit all completed tasks.
